  • Friday (a feast day for Muslims) starts with:
    morning snorkeling from the boat, lunch at the island restaurant and in the afternoon bottom fishing by Dhoni (from 5 pm to 7.30 pm)

Any entry to the desert islands may be subject to a fee (maximum $ 15 per person), this is requested by the owner of the island or by the local authority. The price will be communicated at the booking time.

Rates do not include:

  • Fly
  • Health Insurance: specialized in the travel insurance policies can be purchased online at low prices
  • Not including eventually entry into a desert island
  • Minibar
  • At the restaurant everything is included except Espresso coffee

PACKAGE PURCHASE AND REFUNDS POLICY

 

At the time of booking confirmation, a deposit corresponding to 30% of the total amount is required by bank transfer.

The same will be paid in the manner agreed with the management at the confirmation time.

In the event of impossibility and/or cancellation of the reservation within and no later than 2 months from the date of the stay, the Client can keep the deposit provided that this is booked and confirmed again within 1 calendar year from the date of the previous one.

TRANSFER TO/FROM VELANA AIRPORT

 

For transfers it is recommended to arrive at Velana airport by 9:30 am or 2:30 pm because the speed boat leaves from Velana airport to Keyodhoo at 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Upon returning, the Speed Boat from Keyodhoo to Velana airport leaves at 7:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Il Villaggio

Keyodhoo è un piccolo villaggio di 800 abitanti che si trova ad un’ora e trenta circa di barca veloce da Male.

Qui gli abitanti vivono di pesca e artigianato, ed il villaggio è fatto di casette colorate, con le sedie a sdraio davanti alla porta, per riposare, dialogare e stendere i panni.
Il bar, luogo di ritrovo per la merenda maldiviana, dolce e salata, da gustare con lo yeye, zuccheratissimo caffè-latte: un appuntamento imperdibile! Oltre il bar c’è un ristorante ed una spiaggia riservata agli ospiti dove tutti possono stare tranquillamente in costume. Al tramonto il porto si anima delle chiacchiere delle donne, delle sfide a scacchi degli uomini, dei giochi dal sapore antico dei bambini.
Tutti sono curiosi, accoglienti e loquaci con i visitatori stranieri, con cui comunicano in inglese, in italiano o in divehi (l’idioma locale). L’accattonaggio nei riguardi dei turisti qui risulta un fenomeno ancora sconosciuto.
Pochissime le limitazioni sull’isola di religione musulmana, niente carne di maiale e niente alcolici ( i resort hanno una deroga speciale) e un abbigliamento decoroso per le donne. Se siete in grado di superare queste limitazioni avrete in cambio la possibilità di immergervi in un andamento lento, fatto di paesaggi e colori mozzafiato, sorrisi, mangiate di pesce ( magari pescato da soli) e poi profumi intensi di fiori, di curry, di cucina e tanta serenità.
Come sottofondo la musica, quella dei tamburi del Bodu Beru.

Un posto dove fare un viaggio vero e non solo una vacanza di lusso alle Maldive.
